Educational and informational content

Our content is educational and informational: it explains common security problems in apps built with AI tools and how to check for them. It reflects the information available when it was written (version 1.0). Platforms, tools and threats change quickly, so some checks may become out of date or may not apply to your app.

No guarantee of security

Following the Kit reduces some common risks, but it does not guarantee that your app is secure, free of vulnerabilities or compliant with any law or standard. A good result in the Kit only means that your app passed the checks it contains.

Not a penetration test or professional assessment

The Kit is a self-assessment tool. It is not a penetration test, a security audit carried out by a qualified professional or a certification. If your app handles payments, sensitive data or many users, consider an assessment by a qualified security professional.

Not legal advice

Some checks mention legal topics, such as privacy notices or cookie consent. This is general information, not legal advice: for your specific situation, consult a qualified lawyer.

AI tools and prompts

The Prompt Pack contains prompts for AI coding tools. These tools can produce wrong, incomplete or harmful changes: review every change, keep backups and test in a safe environment before publishing (see “Your computer and your files” below). You are responsible for the changes you make to your app.

Test only your own apps

Use the Kit only on apps, systems and accounts that you own or that you have written permission to test. Accessing or testing other people’s systems without permission can be a criminal offence.

Platforms and trademarks

We mention platforms and services (for example AI coding tools, databases, hosting and payment providers) for factual reference only. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them; we are simply a customer of some. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Sources and cases

The incidents cited on the website and in the Kit come from public sources, which we cite, and reflect what was reported at the time of writing.

Your computer and your files

The Kit and the paid Consultation guide you to check and change the code and configuration of your apps, also with AI coding tools and third-party programs that run on your computer. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damage to your computer or its components, for malfunctions of systems, programs or apps, or for the loss, alteration or deletion of files, code or data, including when they result from applying the Kit’s checks, prompts or advice, or what was discussed in a Consultation. We always recommend that you:

  • make a complete backup (code, database, files, configuration) before any change;
  • work in a controlled environment: a copy of the project or a test or staging environment, never directly on production;
  • review every change before you apply it.

This does not limit the rights the law gives you as a consumer, nor our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence or for lack of conformity of the Kit.

Our liability is governed by the Terms and Conditions. Nothing in this disclaimer limits your mandatory rights as a consumer.
